More Tales to Tremble By

An excellent collection of scary stories, some quite horrifying for those of us with intense imaginations! Even the introduction is enticing.
"Is this your time of night? Are you most comfortable near midnight, when the shadows darken in the corners and the wind mutters through the eaves?"
Also it was a nice Gordon Laite to add to our collection.
The details in these illustrations are wonderful. A quick google search of Gordon Laite resulted in a lot of fairy tale images in color. Did he do many like the ones in the book you shared?
ReplyDeleteThe ones in this book seemed unique to me because of the simple color palate. They also felt more "modern" than the ones he made for the Latin Book we have. He has a lot of work out there so it's definitely fun looking up!
