Daniel Boone

I didn't know Feodor Rojankovsky made some deliciously colorful illustrations for this 1945 book about Daniel Boone!

Once again such lovely end pages!  I would LOVE to have fabric with this pattern!

Another Feodor Rojankovsky from our collection.  We must have dozens of versions of Mother Goose!

The Tall Book of Nursery Tales

Another vintage Tall Book (though not as magical as my favorite Tall Book of Make Believe).  Feodor Rojankovsky did the illustrations and interestingly a different version of The Three Bears.  All the stories are familiar, the pictures are what make it so enjoyable.

The Three Bears

The Three Bears

illustrated by F. Rojankovsky

Feodor Rojankovsky was a Russian illustrator who illustrated many Golden Books from the 1940's to the 1970's.  His bears in this version of The Three Bears are particularly adorable!

(I think it's interesting that he also illustrated erotic art.  You would never guess this from his children's books!)
