Helen Oxenbury illustrates a joyful celebration of babies. Though diverse, they all have in common "ten little fingers and ten little toes" and are loved, loved, loved!
This is a sweet book to help introduce a new baby to a sibling. There's no picture or mention of a dad, it's just the mom and the little boy. Helen Oxenbury always draws such round headed children. Here she's giving me a Jan Ormerod impression (in fact I picked up the book because I thought it was Ormerod's artwork). Also I really like the pregnant mom's outfits!
I have one husband, three children, a cat, a dog, a bunny, and a house full of too many books to count. I love to read, ride my bike, bake, develop my own photographs, and I've been known to neglect all housework to play with my kids.
