    I've always liked the work of Berta and Elmer Hader. I once read that they were the first to illustrate animals naturally in children's books, meaning not giving them human characteristics or abilities.I can't remember which book it was though.

    That's really interesting- I didn't know that about them. This is the only book of theirs that we have but I always have an eye out.
